CBRS: Shared spectrum for wireless innovation

The 3.5 GHz CBRS band provides shared spectrum that mobile operators and CSPs can use to enhance their existing network capacity and performance. Enterprises can accelerate their Industry 4.0 transformation by using the CBRS band to deploy Nokia industrial-grade private wireless networks that connect their key assets and support their mission- or business-critical operations.

The CBRS Alliance is an industry organization that aims to promote LTE- and 5G New Radio-based solutions for the CBRS band. The Alliance uses the OnGo name as its consumer-facing brand.

Nokia CBRS leadership

We helped establish the CBRS Alliance with industry partners in 2016. Since then, we have become the experts in designing and building neutral host and private LTE networks that support OnGo services and maximize the benefits of the shared CBRS spectrum. Our pioneering achievements include:

• Introducing the industry’s first CBRS-specific commercial micro and indoor Pico BTS small cell products in 2016

• Completing FCC and OnGo certification of our CBRS product line in October 2018, becoming one of the first vendors to do so

• Becoming the first approved Certified Professional Installer (CPI) Training Program Administrator for the CBRS band in March 2019
